Mindful Movement & Yoga Nidra
We begin with a 30 minute qigong session. Qigong (pronounced chee gong) is the flowing style of movements that we practice which are similair to tai chi.
Yoga Nidra is a sleep based guided meditation that allows you to relax deeply and heal the body on the physical, emotional and mental levels, without sleeping! A half hour of yoga nidra is equivalent to 2 hours of sleep and it is in deeply relaxed states we can allow our body to heal as we do in sleep.
Wear comfortable clothes. Bring a yoga mat, a blanket and pillow/cushion with you. You will want to be cozy which aids in relaxation. If you are new to joining a yoga class, read here.
For anyone new to Zen Yoga, please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early to fill out a registration form or you can download that here and bring it with you. Either way please arrive 10 minutes early to get your spot. :)
